My work
I design products end to end: research, flows, systems, interface, and the small interactions that decide whether any of it feels good. Marketplaces, healthcare, pet care, heritage e-commerce. Different industries, one method.
Hello, I'm Jay Rajoria

About me
01 / 03
A product designer working across UX, interface, design systems, and the psychology underneath all three. I care about why a person hesitates before a click, and what the interface could have done differently.

Design is a way of reasoning before it is a way of drawing. I want to understand the problem so completely that the screen becomes obvious. If I cannot explain why a decision exists, it is decoration and it should go.
03
Psychology, photography, and creative coding all feed the same habit: paying attention. Noticing where a person's eye lands first, what they expect to happen next, and what quietly breaks their trust.
It is not just a profession.
It is a way of thinking.
What I work in
How I think
02 / 03
Not a manifesto. These are the checks a piece of work has to pass before I am willing to show it. Open one to see what it changes.
I write the narrative of the problem before I open a canvas. If the story has a hole in it, no amount of layout will cover it.
Interviews, flows, and edge cases first. The visual direction is a consequence of what I learn, not a starting mood board.
Every element earns its place by doing a job. Anything left over is removed rather than restyled.
I count the decisions a person has to make on each screen and then try to remove one. Fewer choices, clearer defaults, calmer product.
Depth is available for people who look for it, and never required of people who do not. The obvious path stays short.
Products are used by people having a day. Tone, timing, and restraint decide whether an interface feels considerate or indifferent.
Motion explains cause and effect, or it does not ship. Nothing here moves purely because it can.
If you touch it, it should teach you something about the product, or about how I think. That is the test this site is built on.
Toolkit
23 tools across design, code, measurement and the teams the work has to survive. Grouped by what they are for, because that says more than the list does.
Where the interface and the system get made.
Design that reaches the browser, and the assistants that speed it up.
What people actually did, as opposed to what we assumed.
Structure and discoverability treated as design constraints, not a later fix.
Where the design meets everyone else who has to ship it.
